Spa Cultures: Dream Time & Cosmos, an in-depth wellness course and holistic health program offered at several spa towns and locations, including Alamo Plaza Spa at the historic Menger Hotel, San Antonio, Texas, USA, Bad Sulza and Bad Orb, Germany, and Karlsbad, Czech Republic.

Professor Emeritus Jonathan Paul DeVierville,  Ph.D., M.S.S.W., a spa historian and Jungian/Depth psychotherapist facilitates participants along an exploratory journey into the world of soul/psyche.  An exploration of this nature often reveals not only how an individual’s Dreams relate to themselves, but also to the larger cultural world and planet.

Professor DeVierville calls this method: “Eco/Social/Psi/Cultural Dreaming.”  This is when individuals in small groups share their dream stories and while doing so, recover and  discover images, symbols and archetypal themes with synchronistic relevance that are not only for meaningful to themselves, but also for our larger society, world cultures and planetary civilization.  In the terms of analytical psychologist Dr. Carl Gustav Jung, this is taping into the depths of “The Collective Unconscious.”

Within these relaxing spa surroundings, stimulating individual and creative group discussions make Dreams more vivid and help relate their meaning to everyday life, creativity, relationships and culture.

Spa Cultures: Dream Time & Cosmos in Germany takes place at the Toskana Spa & Therme and includes traditional spa bathing in warm mineral Healing Waters and floating in the world-famous Liquid Sound Temple:  a spectacular  circular pool flooded with sound, light and video over and under the water.  Besides daily group sessions and spa bathing, participants also explore the charming and historic areas.
